Aims & Objectives
The aim of the nursery is to provide high quality childcare and pre-school education in a safe nurturing and stimulating environment.
Our priority is the development needs of the children of all age groups in our care and their happiness / contentment.
We want the children who attend Hwyl a Sbri to enjoy their time with us and for the parents to have the peace of mind of knowing that their children are cared for to the highest standards by staff who are committed to achieve the same as well as having a genuine love of children.
We believe that at Hwyl a Sbri the highest quality will be achieved and maintained by working together in partnership with parents, carers and the CSSIW and Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin.
At Hwyl a Sbri the childcare education is firmly based on the following principles.
○ Every child is an unique individual and therefore will develop and his/her own pace.
○ All children have skills and abilities that need to be nurtured and encouraged.
○ The starting point of children’s education is to establish what they are capable of achieving rather than focus on their inhibitions, the emphasis being on praising and encouraging.
○ Children have the right to develop physically, socially, emotionally, morally and intellectually to their full potential.
○ All children learn through first hand experiences using their 5 senses.
○ Learning should be holistic for young children, emphasising on the whole rather than part of development to prepare them for the future.
At Hwyl a Sbri the staff understand the importance of discussing the child’s progress, development or any concerns with the parents relating to their child in our care.
The parents / carers are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with the manager at everyone’s convenience with regards to any nursery issues they may have.
